Grade 12
Mock Exams & Revision We spent the week reflecting on the Mocks. It was time to look in the mirror (and at the papers) to see where we stand. We are now doing unit-wise checks to ensure our knowledge is solid—you could say we are rectifying our errors before the final circuit!
Grade 11
Physics HL
-
Topic: Relativity & Scheduling
-
Update: A.5 Relativity is finally over—it’s about time (literally)! A.4 is just three classes away from the finish line.
-
The Plan: Since our Thursdays kept getting used by school events, the schedule experienced some destructive interference. We’ve decided to give SL a break so we can fix the misalignment. It’s all relative, right?
Physics SL
-
Topic: Thermal Physics (Theme B)
-
Update: Things are really heating up! We are moving onwards and upwards (like hot air) towards the Greenhouse Effect next week.
-
The Plan: That will finish Theme B. In Term 3, we will pause to let HL catch up so we can finally reach thermal equilibrium as a cohort.
Math AA HL
-
Topic: Induction & Complex Numbers
-
Update: We had a Summative on Mathematical Induction. We proved the “base case”: missed Wednesdays are a pain!
-
The Plan: We only have one class for Complex Numbers this term. The schedule is getting a bit complex (and perhaps a little imaginary), so the big catch-up will happen next term.
Math AA SL
-
Topic: Logarithms
-
Update: We are logging some serious progress! We are working through Log functions right now.
-
The Plan: No tests yet—we are delaying the Summatives until Term 3. We’re just finding our rhythm (or loga-rhythm) for now.
Grade 10
Science
-
Topic: Waves & Electricity
- Unit: The Pulse of the System
-
Update: We’ve started a new unit, and honestly? We are making waves! The excitement in the room is simply electric.
-
The Plan: We are staying current with the content and aim to finish this up by the first week of Term 3. It’s going to be a positive start to the new term (no resistance expected)!
