Dear ABIS Families,
I hope this message finds you well and excited to begin another wonderful year at Al Batinah International School. As many of you know, I’m Mr. Mino (officially still Nalumino Mundia!) and I’m delighted to be returning for my second year as your child’s music teacher.
Looking back, last year was filled with unforgettable moments—the sparkle of our Winter Concert and the vibrant energy of the Summer Concert showed just how much our young performers grew in confidence, skill, and creativity. Thank you to all our families for the encouragement and support that made these highlights possible.
We’ve already started the year on a joyful note—exploring new learnings, revisiting some old favourites from last year, and filling the music room with songs, laughter, and stories from the summer holidays. These shared moments have reminded us how music connects us, helps us celebrate our experiences, and creates a sense of belonging.
This year promises even more opportunities for creativity and discovery. In the music room, students will continue to:
-
Sing and find joy in their own voices.
-
Play instruments and explore rhythms from around the world.
-
Compose and create their own pieces.
-
Move, act, and tell stories through drama and performance.
To our returning families: I look forward to building on the strong partnerships we’ve established.
To our new families: a warm welcome! You’ll quickly see that our music room is more than a classroom—it’s a lively space of rhythm, laughter, movement, and expression.
I’ll be keeping you updated through weekly posts here on the Broadcaster, giving you a glimpse into our lessons, progress, and special events. I also welcome your thoughts and questions, as our collaboration truly makes learning more powerful.
Here’s to a year of joyful noise, meaningful connections, and community spirit. I can’t wait to make more beautiful music together!
With rhythm and joy,
Nalumino Mundia (Mr. Mino)
