As the curtain falls on the 2024–25 academic year, we look back with immense pride at a vibrant year of creativity, courage, and collaboration in the Performing Arts at Al Batinah International School. From our youngest learners discovering rhythm and voice, to our upper primary and middle years students mastering performance and stagecraft, the music and drama rooms have been alive with energy, exploration, and joy. Across the year, students honed their skills through movement, melody, storytelling, and ensemble work—building confidence, emotional expression, and a deep sense of community.

We began the year with the heartwarming Winter Concert, a celebration of cultures and seasonal joy, showcasing everything from choral harmonies to folk dances. As the year progressed, students took the stage for Talent Shows, expressing their individuality and growth through original acts, gymnastics, spoken word, and song. These events highlighted not just artistic ability, but resilience, teamwork, and the magic of student-led creativity. The Summer Concert, themed A Million Dreams: A Musical Journey Through Film, became the crown jewel of the year—uniting Grades 3 to 6 in a moving tribute to the power of cinema and performance.

Throughout all this, Performing Arts remained a dynamic classroom where learning went far beyond the stage. Students explored tuned and untuned percussion, deepened their understanding of vocal technique, and reflected on the emotional layers of performance. They experienced the value of practice, the thrill of an audience, and the power of their own voices. As we close this chapter, we celebrate not just the concerts and showcases, but the small daily moments of growth and discovery that defined this exceptional year. Thank you to all the students, parents, and teachers who made this journey unforgettable. Here’s to a restful break and an even more inspiring year ahead!
