What a week it’s been in the world of music at Al Batinah International School! Our hallways and music rooms have been absolutely buzzing with the sounds of creativity, hard work, and pure joy.
Last week, our wonderful KG to Grade 2 students took to the stage for their Summer Concert, filling the air with delightful singing and some truly impressive instrumental pieces from our talented Grade 2 musicians. This week, we’ve been reflecting on that fantastic performance, basking in the glow of their achievements. The younger students have been diving deeper into the exciting world of percussion instruments, and the absolute highlight for many was getting to try out “Mr. Camilo’s drums” – a moment that sparked so much enthusiasm! As we gently wind down the academic year, we’ve also been having a blast with new rhythm games and engaging drama activities, ensuring every moment is filled with learning and laughter.
Meanwhile, our Grades 3-6 students are in full swing, pouring their hearts and souls into preparations for their upcoming Summer Concert on June 12th! The energy in the music rooms is palpable; it’s truly been a hive of activity. Students have been meticulously choreographing dances, polishing their solo performances to perfection, and learning their songs with incredible enthusiasm. Their dedication is truly inspiring, and we can’t wait to see all their hard work shine.
We are so looking forward to sharing this special concert with you, our upper primary families and friends, next Thursday, June 12th, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Please do join us for what promises to be a spectacular celebration of their musical journey!
