Both grade 7 and grade 9 students have been practising their transfer skills this week.

Grade 7s used their research skills from Humanities to research the history of Australia with regard to colonialism, Aboriginal culture, the Stolen Generation as connected to the memoir they will read in English class. Grade 9 students have started their interdisciplinary unit with Humanities and English. In both subjects, they are exploring the Russian Revolution and the ideology of Communism. Thus, in English they have been exploring literary devices used in the novel and movies of Animal Farm and created mini-posters to illustrate their understanding of satire.
