Grade 7 students have been introduced to myths and legends from 3 cultures and are in the process of learning how to analyse these narratives based on specific conventions. They regularly engage in collaboration. During our second lesson, I was most impressed by the students who took on the role of time managers in one activity wherein they set out a plan for their teams.
Students were given further opportunities to learn from other groups by doing a gallery walk during which they studied the work and added any “new learning” to their notes.
