As the current school year draws to a close, I would like to share some of my reflections with you.
The success of any educational organization depends heavily on the effectiveness of its teachers, who are tasked with transferring knowledge, supervising students, and enhancing the standard of instruction. Teachers’ job satisfaction has a significant impact on the lessons they teach since they are directly involved in transferring knowledge to students. Highly satisfied teachers give their best to their students’ success, not only by imparting knowledge but also by giving extra attention to ensure the better achievement of each student.
When we think of the above in the context of EAL, it starts becoming even more important as we deal with students who require extra attention and support. Therefore, our efforts can significantly improve not only students’ performance but also their overall well-being. We strive to make our students happy that they come to school as motivation is the key factor contributing to their performance. However, we as teachers also want to be happy that we can play a role in our students’ life and help them as much as we can to achieve their goals and become their best.
For me personally the greatest job satisfaction is not just when I see my students improve but also when I see them enjoy learning because we live in a world which demands constant learning throughout our life. And I see it happening quite often.
So when Mick Jagger was singing “I can get no satisfaction” maybe it was because he never worked for the ABIS, what do you think? But it is not too late, we can still invite him to join us here 🙂
