Last Saturday, the ABIS Model United Nations club held a highly successful event as we welcomed approximately 15 delegates on campus for the first ever ABISMUN Conference. This included visiting delegates from other schools and provided an opportunity for many lesser experienced MUN students to gain the confidence and skills needed in Model United Nations. ABIS students JG Appel and Matilde Da Silva were recognized as Honorable Mentions for Best Delegate and Tetiwe Simao was awarded a verbal commendation for her excellent contributions. Well done to you all! Special thanks is due to all those who supported this event in a variety of ways, big and small, but none more so than to our dedicated Executive Board which includes Grade 12 students Maria Clara Santana (Secretary General and conference Chair), Francisco Braga (Co-Chair), Emma Johnson (Co-Chair), and Georg Kopecky (Head of Logistics). Without your leadership and dedication, none of this would have been possible.
