Throughout this week, we delved into the concept of capacity by using both non-standard and standard units of measurement. The children engaged in a hands-on experience, skillfully pouring water into containers of varied sizes and documenting their observations. They have started incorporating new mathematical vocabulary such as millimetres and litres to articulate the volume of liquid within a container. Demonstrating student agency, many children took the initiative to bring labeled containers from their homes to share with their classmates.
