In English we completed our unit on advertising and have just started our new unit titled: Trying to Belong. In this we will be investigating what it means to be part of a group – both the positive and negative aspects. Students have just finished a short investigation into youth culture movements since the 1960s. Next we will be reading the book: ‘The Outsiders’ by SE Hinton.
In I and S we have completed our inquiry into natural disasters by creating a newscast on a natural disaster. We also looked at how governments respond to disasters. Our next unit will be an inquiry into different types of government.
