I am working on different strategies for permanent learning. Generally, it is relatively easy to prepare an inquiry-based learning activity for a topic that students do not know but it is hard to do with a review lesson. Yesterday, we did a review session (Escape room) with the G11 physics class and students were engaged for 60 mins. That activity was a prerequisite of the review lesson we have doen today. Students will were able to consolidate what they learned in kinematics and they used their prior learning to solve a murder mystery.
It was a great pleasure how they supported each other in solving a puzzle and how they applied what they had learned in physics to solve a daily life problem.
