The Model United Nations ASA will take a delegation of 5 secondary students to represent ABIS at the 2023 TAISM MUN Conference this weekend in Muscat. Our students have been assigned delegations in the General Assembly from Mexico, Italy, Qatar, South Korea, and Finland. They have been working hard to prepare for debate on the following topics: measures to protect freedom of the press, addressing the issues regarding illegal immigration and border control, and addressing the ethics of genetic modification. This is an excellent opportunity for our small, but dedicated group of MUN students. All members of the group, including those not attending this weekend, have contributed in meaningful ways to making this trip possible. We hope this is the beginning of many more opportunities for our MUN students in the years to come.
