We are looking to wrap up our last unit in Grade 10 English. In our study of Ibsen’s drama, Hedda Gabler, we have examined character development and the way the setting contributes to the events. While the play happens in four acts, all four acts are in the same room with very little change occurring between acts.

Now, grade 10 students are examining why that is. What significance did Ibsen put on the placement of the drama? What significance do we bring to the setting?
