Primary has had “two” much fun in the library this week! We celebrated “Twosday”, February 22, 2022 by sharing special bookmarks and finding books with a theme of “two”” Students could find pairs of items in a puzzle, as well as find the missing word for pairs of things ( such as Woody and………Buzz from a toy story).
Other library happenings this week:
Ms. Amy’s grade 4 students came in small groups on Wednesday morning for a “document” scavenger hunt. They discussed what a document might be and had fun taking picture evidence of documents around and used in the library.
Grades 4-6 students began to reflect on their reading goals from last month, as well as chose new library books to read.
Grades 2-3 students investigated privacy and security online with a new digital citizenship lesson, and also chose new library books.
ECC students had their information literacy classes this week in the ECC building. We had fun reading and talking about different picture books, how pictures can help us to understand a story, and social skills. Ms. Carolina’s class enjoyed looking for similarities and differences in a picture book about twins for “Twosday”.
