In English we completed the unit on ‘Who Will Fight for What Is Right?’ by writing and performing speeches. Students started the third unit of the year which is called ‘Expressing Ourselves’. In this unit students will create an anthology of poems. To prepare them for this, we have investigated about different poetic devices. We are now looking at different types of poems, which will include acrostics, haikus and nonsense poems.
In Individuals and Societies we have started a new unit on environments. We will be looking at different biomes, how have been impacted by human activity and how they can be sustained. At the moment students are studying climate graphs in order to look at the climates of each biome.
