Grade 4 enjoyed Oman Week so much we decided to continue some of our activities into this week. On Monday, we made Omani bread. Not the traditional way as that involved getting hands in the dough, which we just couldn’t do!

Mr Eriks and Ms Kirsty mixed the dough in the morning, under the watchful eye of Ms Ahlam who told us just how runny to have the mixture. In the afternoon Ms Buthaina came to help us and give advice while we were cooking. She also acted as photographer while Ms Kirsty was cooking and Mr Eriks was helping the students with their own dough. Thanks Ms Buthaina.

Their own dough? I hear you ask. Because the students could not be involved in the mixing and cooking process at school (thanks, Covid), each child was given their own take away container of flour to mix into a dough so they could take it home to cook. We saw some wonderful photos and videos of the results.

Great fun was had by all.
