Hello,
This is my first broadcaster post from my new home in Sohar in the Sultanate of Oman. Firstly, a BIG thank you to everyone who was involved with getting my wife and me here to Oman and also to all the people who have demonstrated that we have joined a wonderful caring community. THANK YOU ALL. I am not going to single anyone one person as there are many people who have helped from ABIS, Sohar Aluminium and the wider community. As a new teacher, I have been welcomed to Oman and ABIS by all my students and this has been demonstrated in many ways from the grade 10’s telling me I can drink the water but it tastes funny to the Grade 12s telling us which restaurants to use on Talabat. I can truly say that the ABIS community lives the IB Learner Profile of caring – We show empathy, compassion and respect. We act to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in the world around us.
