Grade 7 have started a new inquiry unit in which we will explore identity and relationships in our local and global contexts. We played with verses from a poem which speaks about identity by Jacques Prévert, to discover that the students can read authentic French poems and create their own to express their own feelings. We are looking first at how others see us, and what we convey to them about ourselves. We will develop the unit in weeks to come celebrating both our uniqueness and our care for others.
