Grade 9 art students have put finishing touches on their Oman-inspired sculptures, on display around the ABIS campus. This class was able to collaborate very effectively on the project. The groups made a lot of discoveries along the way, such as when Eaton and Maria found a tutorial showing how to use acrylic paint and WD-40 to mimic a fluid painting effect. Mr. Healy was kind enough to donate a can and both Ms. Rehil and the class enjoyed learning a new technique. The effect was used to simulate the appearance of water, and the painted piece of cardboard was added to a sculpture of a local wadi.
