As part of the ABIS Community Council outreach program, thirteen students and two chaperones visited Al Suwaihrah Basic Education School in Sohar this week. The 4th graders from this school were thrilled to spend some quality time with ABIS students doing activities that we had prepared ahead of time. The activities included creating a wishing tree, doing arts and crafts, team building activities, and math games. Fun, smiles, laughter, and a sense of achievement could be seen throughout our visit. On the wishing tree, several of the 4th graders wanted to be doctors and engineers, while others wished for peace, love and happiness.
It is always a good thing to bring groups from different schools and backgrounds together. Everyone learns and benefits from the experience. We are talking about our next visit being at a nearby children’s hospital. More to come soon about that from Community Council.
Together we can make a difference!
