We have been finishing quite a number of units in Science this week.
Grade 7 students finished the Inheritance unit and were tested on it, after doing a research project in DNA fingerprinting and crime scene investigation. Next week we will be starting a unit on waves.
Grade 11 Biology students are finishing their unit about Ecology and will be starting next week with evolution and biodiversity. They went on Wednesday for a a Ecology field trip to collect data on plant coverage and soil moisture. It was a very special trip because after last week rains the wadi was teeming with life, especially butterflies. Grade 11 Chemistry students finished with the SL section of the energetics unit and we will spend the next week teaching the HL component.
Grade 12 Chemistry students continued revising for the May examination as we have already finished with the syllabus. The grade 12 students finished Genetics HL and are about to start the last topic of the year for the HL students only: plant physiology.
