Grade 9: We completed the topic Safety in the Science lab and started a new topic Motion. We talked about speed, velocity acceleration and motion graphs. We performed various physical activities to record data for calculating speed.
Grade 10: We finished the topic Matter and Thermal properties and we’ll start a new topic on Waves next week.
Grade 11: Keeping up with measurements and uncertainties, we acknowledged the importance of expressing physical quantities in their base units and scientific notation. We also discussed the limitations in making accurate measurements and how various errors can be minimized.
Grade 12: Our debate on nuclear energy production got more interesting as we intensified our discussion on whether or not we should adopt this form of energy production. We went through the entire fission process and looked deep into what the process entails including safety in a nuclear plant.
