Primary students took action this week and learned about climate change. We watched a video about climate change and brainstormed actions that we can take at school and at home to fight climate change. Students got together in their houses and took a climate change quiz to test their knowledge. We powered down everyday at lunch and participated in Meatless Monday! We watched a video about the environmental impacts of raising animals for human consumption and learned how eating less meat can help the planet. Each class also took their own actions! Grade 2 and Grade 6 teamed up to start building a greenhouse from plastic bottles. Grade 1 picked up litter during their field trip and Grade 4 did an energy audit of the school to find out how much energy we are wasting. We will follow up on our actions when we return to school.
