In honor of Book Week, Ms. Camp read many different stories to all of the classes, including “The Gingerbread Man,” – a big hit with the Early Years students – “The Three Billy Goats Gruff,” – beloved by grade 4 – and and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” – a thrill for Grade 1!
All of the classes read the book, “The Pout-Pout Fish” by Deborah Diesen, illustrated by Dan Hanna, about a fish with a sad, sad face. He thought he could only be sad until something happened to change his outlook on life. Ask your child to sing you the Pout-Pout song, and see what happens!
On next week’s assembly, Grade 5 musicians will accompany the story as Ms. Camp reads it. Come see how we take a book and make music with it!
