This week we looked at semi fore as a non verbal form of communicating. The students spelled out their names using flags. In maths we started working on fractions, first looking at equal and unequal parts then at dividing shapes into halves and quarters.

This week students worked at the ‘fraction factory’ where they had to create shapes and divide them into 1/2s, 1/4s and 1/8s. The students really enjoyed it and gained a better understanding of how fractions work.

What a fun day of events for our ECC sports day. The students had a great day running, jumping and competing in events. This week was also a fun week spent creating math probability games, practicing for assembly, and writing stories with problems and solutions.
