This week we continued working on our weather inquiries. The student collected data from the weather station. In maths they started work on measurement and used thermometers to measure temperatures using standard units.

This week we got stuck into our new unit of inquiry. We chose our area we are going to become experts in and started our research. In maths we started learning about time.

This week we introduced our new unit of inquiry on weather. We revised some basic skills in maths and enjoyed reading information texts about weather.

The children have had a great week and have all earned valuable house points for their teams. Thank you all for supporting our spirit week the children looked fantastic. Have a lovely winter break.

The rain inspired us on Sunday to write our own rain poems. We followed this by writing map poems and then went to the farm to write farm poems. I think we have some budding poets in Grade 2. On Wednesday we visited the science fair it was inspirational.
