Thank you to the many parents who attended the Oman week meeting on Sunday. I am personally envious of the students and teachers involved as I will be stuck in the school helping oversee the IGCSE mocks for the Grade 10’s, who will also not be out sailing or trekking with camels. However, we do have plans for the Grade 10’s to go to Pune in India after their final exams in June so that they can be involved in a service project for an orphanage. I am sure it will be a fascinating and rewarding CAS experience for them!
Students are currently writing their reflections, which will be part of their reports. They are reviewing their personal targets and thinking about what progress they have made. Thank you to the parents who found the time to give us feedback on the new format. There appears to be a strong sense of approval, which is encouraging, as a lot of work has gone into them by our staff.
Next week students will be taking the annual ISA assessment, which provides valuable individual data on how our students are progressing and in what areas they need support. It also provides information for the international PISA study, which compares us with other similar schools around the world. This interesting information will be shared with you at a later date.
Have an enjoyable weekend!
