Grade 12 investigated radioactive decay this week. The foam head of (obviously non-alcoholic) beer follows the same pattern in the bursting of its bubbles as radioactive particles in their decay. Their results produced a beautiful decay curve, which they will use to calculate the half-life of maltbeer foam.
