I’m delighted to share the progress of our Grade 7 students in their study of sustainability across Oman’s diverse biomes. Students have journeyed through desert, mountain, and marine ecosystems, examining how each environment supports life and the delicate balance that sustains them.

They have shown diligence and genuine curiosity throughout this unit, and have engaged deeply with the material, asking thoughtful questions and making connections between what they’re learning and the landscapes they know. It’s been a joy to see their enthusiasm as we investigate both the positive and negative ways humans impact these ecosystems.

By grounding our study in Oman’s own biomes, students are developing a personal connection to sustainability. They’re learning to recognize conservation efforts in desert habitats, understand the unique challenges facing mountain ecosystems, and appreciate the fragility of marine environments along our coasts. This local lens makes the concepts tangible and meaningful.

The class has truly embraced this topic, and I’m proud of the care they’re bringing to understanding how we can protect these vital ecosystems for future generations.
