Seventh-grade art students have been learning how artists organize their work to make it more engaging and understandable for viewers. By creating an illusion of space and depth, artists guide attention to the message, meaning, and purpose behind each piece. As part of their Criterion B: Developing Ideas project, our Grade 7 artists explored the concept of perspective—a technique that creates a sense of depth. Students practiced this by photographing and sketching various locations around the school campus, seeking examples of one-point and two-point perspectives. These photos and sketches will serve as references for their final artwork, helping them create a three-dimensional effect in their pieces.
