Grade 8’s new Science topic, ‘Speeding Up’, is off to a good start. We first learned how to calculate speed and had a go at comparing the speeds of different modes of motion (featured in the picture are the ever so popular Dora-The-Explorer hop and the Wheelie-Chair-Zoom-Along). This week we looked at forces and their effects. Today’s visit to the building site gave us the opportunity to see the effects and uses of forces in a different context.
