In grade 1 we are becoming increasingly confident readers. Using strategies to read familiar and unfamiliar words we are beginning to comprehend a growing range of texts. Reading regularly both in school and at home improves our language skills, and ability to use English language creatively when speaking and writing. As young learners are beginning to develop a life long love of reading.
