Students have continued their investigation into the voices from the past interdisciplinary unit. They have studied how events have been related by people directly involved in events through diaries and memoirs. Students have inquired into how newspapers report genocide and persecution. This is helping them prepare for the IDU summative task where they will have to use language in a way that makes them strong advocates for a persecuted group. To help with this we have also looked at devices that make good speeches. We will complete our preparation for the task by studying documentaries.
