Students have completed the second unit of the year. We finished reading ‘Animal Farm,’ and students wrote an essay where they compared and contrasted the book as two of four genres: fable, allegory, satire or fairy story. Next we have an interdisciplinary unit with Individuals and Societies called Voices from the Past. In this students will be studying different text types and how they present stories of human persecution.
