Grade 9 students have just completed their interdisciplinary unit called ‘Voices from History.’   They investigated different examples of persecution from across the world and recent history  and studied ways that these have been reported, recorded or reflected on.  Their final summative assessment piece for the unit was to create a product of their choice in which they were an advocate for persecuted peoples using different types of texts and techniques.   Our next unit will start immediately after the Spring holiday and it will be another literature unit.  It is entitled ‘Principles and hysteria’ and we will be studying ‘The Crucible’ by Arthur Miller.
