This week grade 8 scientists have been continuing to develop their research skills. They were focusing on the ATL (approaches to learning) skills.
- Collecting and recording information
- Access information to be informed or to inform others
Both of these fall under the heading Information Literacy Skills.
To do this they were asked to investigate mass and weight.
They were asked to consider similarities, differences, units and uses.
After this they collaborated and shared ideas, thoughts and findings as a class.
Throughout the year they will be encouraged to take an active role in their learning, will be continually developing their ATL skills and reflecting on their progress.
