This week Grade 10 undertook a research culminating to class presentation on Metals: extraction, reactivity series, industrial applications and uses.students were able to learn about the physical and chemical properties of different metals and most importantly how these metals are extracted from their ores.
Grade 9 are still doing Chemical equations and formula.This week we started on a new area – The Mole.Students were able to determine how many atoms, molecules and ions are contained in a given substance.We also performed testing on food samples this week to determine whether or not proteins, glucose and starch were present.
