Indeed it is that time of year again with the grade 11 Chemistry students, studying complex ions, colored complexes and interesting facts about why gems have a particular color depending on the presence of transition metal ions. Models were built, videos were watched, lectures were delivered and finally we saw the light (colored light).

Grade 11 Biology students started talking about the importance of proteins and performed a practical using beetroot and colorimetry.

Grade 12 Biology students finished with Genetics HL and are about to start the option, Human Physiology.

Last but not least, grade 12 Chemistry students started the option too (Biochemistry).

We also had an awesome visit from primary students who wanted to learn about germs and microscopy.
