It has been an intense Science pre holiday week.
Grade 11 Biology students finished with the Cell structure topic, covering mitosis and the origin of life on Earth, whilst the Chemistry students finished the crucial topic regarding Atomic structure.
Grade 12 students covered Genetics and finished with Organic Chemistry.
From a practical point of view, we have seen more emission spectra, color flame tests, mitosis modeling, ester production from alcohols and carboxylic acids and osmolarity determinations in potato tubers.
More to come next week, although things will slow down a bit due to half term break and to the fact that some students will be practicing their French skills in Switzerland.
