Today KG classes were invited to listen to Grade 1 and 2 students performing musical items that the they learnt in Music.
Grade 1 have been exploring high and low pitched sounds through the story about Jack and the Beanstalk. Students used percussion instruments such as hand bells, wind chimes, finger cymbals and their voices to create sound effects for the story.
Grade 2 continued learning all about Duration – long and short sounds. They performed several songs from Caribbean Islands with accompaniment, using untuned and tuned percussion instruments such as chime bars, a triangle, a woodblock and a drum.
