We had a very busy week with Spirit Week, music rehearsals, and lots of learning! As part of our How We Express Ourselves unit, students reflected on their wordless book stories and thought about how they were reflective learners, risk-takers, and communicators when sharing their ideas. We also had parents come in to read stories to us in their mother tongue. The students enjoyed listening to stories in different languages and learning how stories can be shared in many ways. We did some writing about how we felt when listening to a new language and reflected on how this helped us become open-minded thinkers and communicators. In Math, we started learning addition with regrouping. This is something students can continue to practice at home with their families. Next week, we will begin subtraction with regrouping.
