This week, Grade 1 students continued exploring author’s purpose. We learned that authors may write to persuade, inform, or entertain. Students worked together to sort different book titles and ideas into the correct categories. The children were brave communicators as they shared their ideas, listened to one another, and explained their thinking. It was wonderful to see them using their communication skills to justify their choices and build on each other’s ideas. We also continued with our Flat Teddy adventures. Students shared where Flat Teddy went and what he did, helping them practice oral storytelling, sequencing, and speaking confidently in front of others.

Please note that the Eid Al Adha holiday will be from Tuesday, May 26th to Saturday, May 30th. Students will return to school on Sunday, May 31st.
