As the end of this academic year is fast approaching, students are undertaking final summatives, and next week our Arabic-speaking students will be sitting their government exams. Please ensure that your children are doing all they can to be at their very best for these end-of-year assessments: eating well, getting some exercise, and getting enough sleep. Also, please ensure that they arrive at school on time so that they are settled, calm, and ready to shine!

The schedule for the Arabic exams is as follows:

  • Sunday 17th May: Omani Social Studies | 8:00am – 10:00am

  • Tuesday 19th May: Arabic | 8:00am – 10:00am

  • Thursday 21st May: Islamic Studies | 8:00am – 10:00am

This week in Advisory, students were asked to add their final pieces of evidence and supporting comments to their Service as Action activities. They also revisited the classroom Essential Agreements and were reminded of how important respect is in the school environment – for themselves, for others, and for using shared spaces appropriately. We also spent some time sharing and discussing various news stories from around the world during our Global Affairs slot. In PSHE, students were reminded of the very real problem of cyberbullying and their responsibilities to ensure this does not happen at ABIS.

We wish you all a restful weekend.

Best wishes, The Grade 7 Team
