Our Grade 8 students are getting ready for their final summatives. This requires them to be very organised in order to manage their tasks and time efficiently. Students are encouraged to study for exams or tests by reviewing material, writing their own test questions using IB command terms, and answering their own questions.
The best collaboration for studying is to form study groups with friends (over a weekend/afternoons) and to test each other. In all subjects, students are encouraged to make flashcards of the subject terminology they must produce in their summative assignments. These can be paper ones or digital ones on sites like quizlet or kahoot!
Parents must please familiarise themselves with the assignments as posted on Managebac. It is vital that students remain healthy during this stressful period. If a student is absent, please inform Ms. Eiman and the advisory teacher. If possible, also contact the teacher whose summative the student will miss.
Please note that currently there are summatives posted when Eid may occur. Students should be ready to adapt if these are moved forwards or into the first week of June.
