This week in Grade 1, we continued our unit How We Express Ourselves. Students shared more of their Flat Teddy adventures and practiced being brave risk-takers and clear communicators.In writing, we continued writing personal accounts about our own lives. Students practiced sitting with a partner, sharing their ideas, and using active listening to help strengthen their writing. We also started writing and publishing our own stories. In maths, we continued practising fact families and are learning how to add and subtract double-digit numbers without regrouping. It has been wonderful to see students growing in confidence as readers, writers, mathematicians, and communicators!
