In our first unit in Integrated Humanities we have looked at how Europe transformed form a feudal system into industrial societies.  This has been conceptually challenging. Getting students to understand or imagine the history context it difficult enough. However to imagine the impetuses for change for is not easy. Therefore it was very heartening to see how the grade 10s have collaborated to investigate the many threads of this topic. As an integrated subject, conceptualising the connections between political, religious, economic and social system is a difficult task, but it has been awesome to see how this been working on it. I look forward to seeing how this will be transferred into understanding in formal assessment.
