Grade 8 reflected on ATLs in French class this week. We brainstormed ideas of key words to develop our academic language using our native language, English and French. We then combined our ideas, organized the content in categories, translated the words in French and then made flashcards to display in the class. This was a great way to think about how we develop our learning skills as well as connecting key languages. In Grade 8, in between 8 people we have 7 different mother tongues, 3 languages being acquired and one common language.
