This Tuesday we went on field trip to the beach, our Grade 1 class had an enriching experience that aligned beautifully with our current unit of inquiry, “The Earth goes through constant change.” Students explored coastal processes and observed natural features firsthand. They engaged in activities like collecting shells and noting the varying conditions of the beach at different times, which highlighted how natural forces shape our environment. This direct interaction with the Earth’s dynamic coastal systems reinforced our lines of inquiry about natural processes and their impacts, fostering a deeper understanding of the planet’s ever-changing nature.
