This week, the EAL department started WIDA testing. You might wonder what WIDA is. It’s a test given each year to new students and those learning English to see how well they’re doing in learning English. The goal is to make sure ABIS is providing the right support for these students. The test results help the EAL team and homeroom teachers see if a student is improving their English skills. If a student isn’t making progress, we need to find out why. The test data helps us figure out how to better support your child so they can succeed in all their classes.
