This week, the DP Music students in Grade 12 have been working to finish up their last assessment for the course. Unlike other DP Courses, DP Music does not have formal sit-down exams, but rather three large projects that are completed over the two years and submitted for formal assessment. These are Experimenting with Music in Context (Internal Assessment), Exploring Music in Context (External Assessment), and Presenting Performance (both as a performer and a creator/composer). This three projects have required research, analytical and creative writing, plus technical and compositional skills. The level of hard work and dedication to complete these tasks is simply remarkable.
